Q: When do I receive daily overtime?
Answer:
Per Article 5 (Overtime), only full-time operators who choose their days off per calendar week receive time-and-one-half (1½) for all time worked over eight (8) hours in a day.
If you are:
-
Full-time
-
On a picked run
-
You selected your days off
Then any time worked over 8 hours in a single day is paid at time-and-one-half.
This applies even if you do not work 40 hours in that week.
Q: When do I receive weekly overtime?
Answer:
Time-and-one-half (1½) is paid for all hours worked over forty (40) hours in a calendar week.
This is a separate overtime trigger from daily overtime.
Q: Can daily overtime and weekly overtime stack?
Answer:
No. The Agreement states that no time shall be paid at a rate greater than one-and-one-half times the regular rate.
Overtime is paid once per qualifying hour.
Q: Are holidays counted toward overtime?
Answer:
Yes. The six (6) paid holidays and five (5) floating personal leave days count as time worked when calculating overtime eligibility.
Q: What is the minimum pay if I am called in from home?
Answer:
If called in, the minimum pay is:
-
Two (2) hours at the applicable rate
-
Increasing to three (3) hours per administrative update
Unless the first assignment extends into a regular shift.
Q: What is the minimum pay for the first run of the day?
Answer:
The minimum pay for the first assignment of the day is two (2) hours, unless it extends into a regular shift.
